This week saw us match up against Kooyonga at Royal Adelaide Golf Club. It was a beautiful Autumn day and the course was in great condition. It was a late start, with our final group teeing off at 1:50pm. No surprise we did not finish until 6.45pm. There were some very tired junior golfers – caddies and Manager were also looking a little weary!

It was another victory to The Grange with a 4/3 win over Kooyonga. Two matches finished very early with Eva Cho again coming home with a brilliant 8/7 win, closely followed by Jacyb Paris-Hewitt who won 7/6. The other winners were Hunter Whetstone winning his match 3/2 an Noah Ah Chee bringing it home 3/1. Our losses were again close with two matches completing the 17th and on the 16th.

So, congratulations The Grange Golf Club McMillan Shield Team of 2020, you have finished equal top of the ladder with Tea Tree Gully, with five wins and one halved match – we both halved with The Vines!

That sets up a great match on our own East Course for the final round on Sunday 29th of March. So members, if you would like to see the future of your Club, I invite you to come and support our Juniors on Sunday 29th March. We tee off at 11:30am from the 1st tee on the East Course. Hope to see you there.

Yours in Golf,

Paul Whetstone
