Grange Sharp Cup team burst onto the Pennant scene this week with a convincing 5 matches to nil win over Royal Adelaide. Played in fine autumn conditions on the West Course at Grange the team started on the 10th tee late morning. Of the five team members, only three (Hudson Brown, Do Kim and Sam Van der Vlies) had previously played Sharp Cup. The team went started exceedingly well with some very convincing results. In his first Sharp Cup match, Alex Cappelluti had a 8/7 win. Then came Sam Van der Vlies with a 7/6 win. Not to out done, Hudson Brown won 6/5 and Do Kim had a 5/4 win. After a good start, Hunter Whetstone’s opponent found a bit of form and took it down to the 18th, but Hunter hang on to bring his match home 1 up. A fantastic start to the season. Next round is to be held at Willunga, where we will be up against Glenelg.
