More than 140 players enjoyed a perfect day for playing 18 Hole Canadian Foursomes and 9 Hole Stableford in the Linda’s Beauty Therapy Golf Day sponsored by Grange member Linda Rothenberg.
All members who attended were delighted with Linda’s attention to detail with her drinks and sweets on course, gifts for every person and the fabulous prizes for not only the winners but also table prizes and a raffle. The delicious lunch and presentation were enjoyed by all, including Warren Mercer’s cameo appearance in the demonstration of the ‘anti-wrinkle eye mask’!
The Canadian Foursomes format was a welcome change of competition. On the West Course, Sandra Winter-Dewhirst and Sandy Alston won with nett 71.625 and on the East Course, Rhonda Whitford and Lyn Klavins won with nett 71.5. The 9 Holers played Stableford and the winner on the day was Renee Robertson with 18 points. We also had the Straightest Drive on four holes that gave all players an opportunity of winning a prize.
