We are writing to inform you that we will be conducting several early morning, controlled ecological burn offs over the winter period. We are conducting these small, controlled burn offs in various areas of the East and West Courses. Ecological burn offs are a new control program for our vegetation areas at The Grange Golf Club and they will assist us to manage our landscape and aid in the regeneration of native plant species.
It is anticipated that these controlled burn offs will have minimal impact on members and residents around the boundary of our club. Along with council approval, The Metropolitan Fire Service has been informed of our burn-off activities and have only asked that we give notice of our intention to burn at least 30 minutes prior to commencement.
