Golf Australia COVID-19 Update

Dear South Australian Golf Clubs and Facilities,

Golf Australia is writing to provide further assistance and guidance to our clubs and facilities in South Australia.

Golf Australia acknowledges that regulations in relation to COVID-19 in each state are different and that ultimately the decision to operate rests with each club.

Golf Australia advises that there has been no change to the South Australian Emergency Management Direction that has been in operation from the 31st day of March 2020 at 12.01am.

Golf can continue to be played in South Australia, as confirmed by the SA Police Commission direction which supports golf club operation with the following restrictions;

• Any more than 10 people should not be congregating.
• All people must be adhering to social distancing requirements.

To comply with current South Australian government restrictions relating to public gathering limits and social distancing golf facilities which choose to remain open in South Australia should consider all necessary risk management measures.

Golf Australia strongly believes that working together will achieve the best outcomes for all South Australian clubs.
