Management and Committee are excited to announce that Jeffrey Gillies has been appointed as the new Senior Assistant on the Course Maintenance team at The Grange Golf Club.
Jeff has been at Grange since April 2014 as a second assistant and has an intimate knowledge of the courses. During the past 4 years he has spent a significant amount of time working on keeping our irrigation systems fault free. Jeff will take this senior position at an exciting time as we begin the redevelopment of the maintenance facility and other large projects within the near future already in the early planning stages.
Before starting at The Grange, Jeff had 14 years of experience in green-keeping at Mt Osmond Golf Club, Lochiel Golf Club (NZ) and Matamata Golf Club (NZ). He has completed his National Certificate in Sports Turf Management (Level 4) and has a Diploma of Landscape Design. We are sure Jeff will do a fantastic job in the new role, and we encourage members to congratulate him on the promotion.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris McCulloch for the work he has done at Grange since October 2018 especially during the Women’s Australian Open. Chris was a great asset to the Club and will be missed amongst staff.
