WATCH HOLE HIGHLIGHT

At the LIV Golf Adelaide tournaments from 2023 to 2025, the 18th hole at The Grange Golf Club was the stage for several pivotal and memorable moments:

Ripper GC’s Historic Playoff Win: On April 28, 2024, the all-Australian Ripper GC team, led by Cameron Smith, faced Stinger GC in LIV Golf’s first-ever team playoff. Both teams were tied at 53-under par after regulation play. The playoff took place on the 18th hole, where Smith and teammate Marc Leishman represented Ripper GC against Stinger GC’s Louis Oosthuizen and Dean Burmester. After a tense first playoff hole where both teams made par, the Rippers secured victory on the second playoff hole when the Stingers found trouble in the greenside bunker, leading to bogeys. This win was celebrated fervently by the home crowd, marking a significant moment in LIV Golf history.

Joaquin Niemann’s Commanding Win: On February 16, 2025, Joaquin Niemann delivered a stellar final round, shooting a 7-under 65 to finish at 13-under par. His performance on the back nine, including a birdie on the 18th hole, was instrumental in overtaking Abraham Ancer and securing a three-stroke victory.

Fireballs GC’s Team Victory: The Fireballs GC team, featuring Sergio García, Abraham Ancer, Luis Masaveu, and David Puig, dominated the team competition, finishing six strokes ahead of their closest competitors. Their consistent play, particularly on the concluding holes, underscored their team synergy and strategic execution.

The 18th hole at The Grange Golf Club has consistently been a focal point for dramatic conclusions and pivotal moments in LIV Golf Adelaide’s history, often serving as the decisive stage for both individual and team triumphs.
