It was a wet and drizzly day at Glenelg today as the Cleek 2 Team took on Aston Hills.
Rain began falling from the moment we arrived and did not let up. The Glenelg course was very impressive, but also challenging. If you avoided the water, there was plenty of scrub to get tangled in, and if you managed to bypass the scrub, there were bunkers surrounding every green.
The teams were evenly matched and we only had to give away a few points. All of our ladies were supported by our loyal band of caddies and supporters: Greg Heath, Trevor O’Rourke, Louise Welch, Paul Polotnianka and Jo Lisk. It was a champion effort in the wintry conditions.
The lead changed hands several times throughout the day and, once again, the result was determined on the 18th hole, with Grange winning 4 games to 1.
