As of this Friday 21st August, The Grange Golf Club is required to have a COVID Safe Marshal on duty during the Clubs hours of operation. If there are more than 200 people at the Club (both indoor and outdoor) the Club requires a dedicated staff member to be rostered on to solely perform the duty of COVID Safe Marshal. If we have less than 200 people, a staff member will be rostered on as a COVID Safe Marshal as well as be on duty with their normal work duties.
We currently have 10 staff members that have completed the training and will add more staff members as the need arise and these marshals will be visibly and immediately identifiable by their colleagues, SA Police and the public by wearing a special lanyard.
A COVID Marshal’s role is to ensure that the Club’s COVID-Safe Plan is adhered ensuring that members are following physical distancing protocols, making sure guests are seated when consuming food or alcohol and working with colleagues to ensure the stricter hygiene and cleaning rules are being followed.
A copy of the Club’s COVID Safe Plan can be found in the members bar, administration office and in the Gym @ Grange.
