Cam Smith slapping hands with a massive crowd as he walks onto the course at Adelaide

The first-ever team playoff in LIV Golf history, record crowds of 94,000 from more than 30 countries and a dramatic playoff finish? Well, that’s LIV Golf Adelaide.

Alongside teammates Marc Leishman, Matt Jones and Lucas Herbert, Ripper GC captain Cameron Smith showed us what outstanding teamwork throughout an event was really all about.

The atmosphere was explosive, the fans were deafening and amidst performances of some of Australia’s most celebrated artists – Tones And I, FISHER and Flight Facilities – we saw the all-Australian Ripper GC emerge victorious over Stinger GC.

Louis Oosthuizen held strong in the individual competition, but Hyflers GC celebrated Brendan Steele’s first individual title. His consistent performance, including a final-round 68, secured him the victory by one stroke. The event also produced outstanding performances from Jon Rahm, Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burnmester.

The tournament underscored the success of LIV Golf Adelaide’s popularity, and Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman couldn’t help but express his pride in the event’s reception.

“I am extremely proud. In our league’s short history, LIV Golf Adelaide has become a can’t-miss event on Australia’s calendar of major international sporting events and this week, we raised the bar once again,” said Norman.

“I want to thank the Australian fans and those who travelled afar to be in Adelaide. For decades, I was blessed to play in front of so many who supported Australian golf and now, by bringing LIV Golf to Australia, the country has clearly embraced our league and what it represents: team golf – a new and needed product that is delivering for the sport’s future. Thank you, Adelaide, Australia, and all those who played a part in this tremendous week. See you all next year.”

As the tour makes its way to Singapore, the momentum from Adelaide continues to propel the LIV Golf League ahead through their season, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
