We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our Tuesday volunteer group, also know as Charlies Angels, for the tireless amount of work they have done and continue to do to assist in presenting the courses in pristine condition for us to enjoy.

This group of members was started by long term member Charlie Hill in the 80’s to help with the little jobs around the golf course and Clubhouse which allowed our Course Maintenance team to complete other tasks.

The group numbers have changed regularly over the years as members retired and new ones would join and the list of jobs they would undertake is never ending included spraying, weeding, planting, picking up pine cones, ball washer maintenance etc.  They have also completed many tasks around the Clubhouse involving painting, cleaning, fixing furniture etc.  Many of you would have also seen this group of members enjoying a well-deserved drink and bite to eat in the bar on a Tuesday and embracing the camaraderie.

Due to liability, insurance and WHS requirements, the role of Charlies Angels has been by necessity scaled back.  However, some of the volunteer group will still be around the place on the occasional Tuesday and I’d like to thank them for their ongoing assistance at our club.

On behalf of all members I want to say a big thank you to this group of passionate members who give up their time every Tuesday morning for the betterment of the Club.
