The new car park is now open for members and after a slight delay due to some engineering and building specification alterations, the 22 parks can now be used. Gutter stops will still be required within the park nearest the practice tee which may give us room to include a couple of extra parks.
As mentioned in other newsletters the primary objective of extending the car park was to eliminate the issue of cars parking at the rear of the 11th and 18th East greens on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In recent times this trend has become less out of necessity and more out of convenience for some members hence the reason we have placed a “No Parking Beyond This Point” sign at end of the northern most end of the car park.
