The Grange Member Milestone Lunch was held on Friday 27th August 2021 to recognise those members that have reached the significant milestone of 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 years of membership at The Grange.  With COVID-19 ruining our plans last, we were glad that we are able to come together this year and was excited to see some of our new members joining us on Friday as well.  The Committee feel this annual lunch provides a great opportunity to get together and catch up with fellow members while recognising and acknowledging our long serving members.

Congratulations to the following members who achieved 50 years of membership at The Grange Golf Club since the last luncheon held on the 16th August 2019.  These members were be presented with a commemorative Grange key-ring and certificate:

  • Alastair Boyle
  • Ian Cheary
  • Terry Evans – Absent
  • Martin Fink
  • Barry Hank
  • Michael Salkeld
  • Ann Coats
  • Carole Mason – Absent
  • Clive Hoffman
  • Steve McNally
  • Jonathon Sando
  • Phil Wright – Absent
  • Joe Hewitt

Congratulations to the following members that achieved 60 years of membership and were presented with commemorative trophies and certificates:

  • Ken Adams
  • Graham Brown
  • Geoff Howe
  • Robert Rice
  • Brian White

And finally – can you believe that we have a member who has been at The Grange for 72 years.  Bob Neill – unfortunately Bob couldn’t be with us on Friday to be presented with his commemorative trophy and certificate but we wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge his years of service.  Bob was part of our 1961 Winning Simpson Cup team and also served on Committee in the 1990’s. 72 years – what an amazing achievement.

During Friday’s formalities we showcased some videos featuring some of our long term members and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Ann Coats, Steve McNally and Ian & Nick Cheary for being part of this.  They have shared some amazing stories which we will share on our website and social media platforms.

Thank you to all those members that attended the lunch on Friday and for making it so memorable.
