We are excited to announce that following the success of our 100kw solar panels, the Club has purchased a second 100kw solar system which have been installed above the maintenance shed. The new system is now ready to go and we are waiting on the South Australian Power Networks to commission the panels and expect the system to be fully functional in the next couple of weeks.
Our original 100kW system saved the Club $36,000 in the first 12 months, therefore we expect a saving going forward of approximately $70,000 per year. The payback period on the second 100kW system is estimated at 3½ years.
