It is hard to believe the Kyle joined The Grange payroll 10 years ago when he was just 13 years old. Little Kyle started working as a Junior in 2007 setting up weddings and polishing cutlery.  Ten years later he has become one of our much loved and reliable senior hospitality staff members.  Kyle is heading back over to Canada again in October and will be sorely missed – looks like we are going to have to find another Father Christmas for the Grange staff golf day.

What attracted you to work at The Grange Golf Club?
At the time of employment, I was heavily involved in golf and was a member at West Lakes Golf Club.  I wanted to work at the GGC because they encouraged a far more positive golf environment.

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?
Going to work and not feeling like you’re actually working.  It’s always enjoyable and the fantastic team always have fun.

And the least enjoyable?
Probably polishing cutlery or making soy, decaf, half-strength lattes.

What is your favourite item on the menu?
Depends if I am feeling healthy or on a cheat day

What is your favourite hole on the course?
1st West – changes all the time.

Where was your favourite vacation/holiday?
Japan and Canada.  Just give me mountains and snow.

Describe yourself in three words.
Fun, sophisticated (when I wear glasses) and honest.

What was your worst ever job?
Haven’t had one yet.  Only proper job has been at the GGC.  Worst job inside the GGC is probably flipping a planter box and cleaning up the mess.

Dead or alive, who would you most like to meet?
Leonardo DiCaprio and Elon Musk

If you weren’t doing this job, what would you be?
Absolutely no idea.  Hospitality at another business I believe.
