Through the Green: If a ball is lying in an area where coring and/or scarifying have taken place, relief may be taken as follows:
The ball must be lifted and placed within one club length of where it originally lay, no closer to the hole and not in a hazard or on a putting green. There is no penalty.
Before lifting the ball the player must mark its position and the ball may be cleaned before placing.
If the player fails to mark the ball prior to lifting it or moves the ball in any other way, such as rolling it with a club, he incurs a penalty of one stroke.
Piles of Scarifying: The piles of scarifying along the edges of fairways are GUR and relief may be taken under Rule 25-1.
Coring of Greens
If a ball comes to rest in a hole made by the coring machine, on the greens, a player may take relief without penalty by:
Picking up and placing their ball within one putter head from the original lie, not nearer the hole.
