The Grange Junior Division 2 team travelled to Tanunda Pines to play Glenelg and were greeted by warm conditions and clear blue skies. It promised to be a challenging day against the second-placed side on an unfamiliar course. The focus was on playing smart golf and embracing the contest. With both teams evenly matched, it was always going to come down to skill, patience and composure.<\/p>\n

\nTed conceded three shots to his opponent, making it a well-balanced contest. He once again produced some magnificent golf and continues to show steady improvement each week. After last week\u2019s disappointing result, Ted came out determined, applying pressure with excellent shot-making. He raced to a 5-up lead early and, despite his opponent clawing a couple back, remained composed to secure a solid 3-2 victory.<\/p>\n
\nTyler conceded seven shots and his opponent took advantage early. While Tyler continues to show his ability to produce quality golf, a few wayward shots on a very tight course proved costly. He battled hard throughout but ultimately went down 4-2.<\/p>\n
\nWith the course rating adjustments, Kianu moved up to No. 3 and received three shots. He started strongly and was never behind in the match. Unfortunately, he suffered a stomach muscle injury around the fourth hole, making it difficult to maintain focus. Showing great resilience, he pushed through the discomfort and continued to play outstanding golf, securing a well-earned 3-2 win.<\/p>\n
\nClaire once again proved her value to the team. Her dedication and determination never wavered, and her golf continues to improve week-by-week. Her commitment is admirable and she delivered another strong performance, winning 3-1.<\/p>\n
\nGenna faced a very strong opponent. Despite playing some excellent golf, a few wayward shots put her under pressure, allowing her opponent to capitalise. She fought hard throughout but eventually went down 5-4.<\/p>\n
\nThis result sees us move to the top of the table, with two challenging matches still to come. It will be important to stay focused on our goals, remain present, and continue playing smart and disciplined golf.<\/p>\n
