What sparked your interest in golf and when did you join The Grange Golf Club?<\/strong><\/p>\n Started golf in my early 20s when I had to give up football due to an eye injury.\u00a0 I used to live in the Barossa Valley and got to know Bronte Warner who had the Ford dealership in Tanunda.\u00a0 As a result I got to know Grange and joined through Bronte\u2019s nomination and Seconded by his father Mel Warner.<\/p>\n What is your favourite hole on the golf courses and the hole you just can\u2019t seem to master? <\/strong><\/p>\n 15th<\/sup> East is my favourite hole because it can change a lot through tee and pin position.\u00a0<\/p>\n Out of the other 35 (plus the 37th<\/sup>) my most challenged hole is probably the 3rd<\/sup> East given that it is Index 18.<\/p>\n What has been the highlight in your golfing journey to date?<\/strong><\/p>\n Eagling a number of Par 4s.\u00a0 East 4, West 7th<\/sup> and West 16th <\/sup>(twice).<\/p>\n What is your go to lunch order in the Bistro\/Grilled @ Grange?<\/strong><\/p>\n Schnitzel (of course).<\/p>\n What do you do with yourself outside the golf club?<\/strong><\/p>\n I do a lot of different things but most is taken up with my Adjunct Associate Professor role at the University of Adelaide and also my aged mother and parents-in-law.<\/p>\n Dead or alive, who would you most like to meet?<\/strong><\/p>\n Keith Richards<\/p>\n Favourite memory you have had at the golf club?<\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s a slightly negative memory \u2013 a number of times sitting on the edge of a hole on par 3 for a hole-in-one.\u00a0 But never got one yet!<\/p>\n What\u2019s the best score you have ever shot at Grange?<\/strong><\/p>\n 78 on the East.<\/p>\n What motivated you to join The Grange Golf Committee?<\/strong><\/p>\n Throughout my professional career I have been on a number of committees\/boards and really enjoyed the experience.\u00a0 I just wanted to continue that interaction with a Club that has provided much enjoyment for me.\u00a0 Sort of \u2013 returning the quid pro quo<\/em>.<\/p>\n What do you love about The Grange Golf Club?<\/strong><\/p>\n The ease of comradery.<\/p>\n
