That means, if you are walking either course you will average around 9000-11000 steps over 18 holes. Although the amount of walking you may do over 18 holes will depend on your ability, if you’re zig-zagging across the fairway you are in for a few more steps! If you are having trouble walking the full 18, walking 9 and then carting 9 is still a great option. For those with high cholesterol, walking 18 holes 2x per week has been associated with decreasing your bad cholesterol and increasing the good kind! Finally, for those who are noticing a decrease in their balance as they age, walking the course has been proven to be associated with improved balance and reduces your risk of falling. At GOLF+ we believe better health leads to better golf, and it does not matter your age or ability there is always room to improve.

If you’re having issues walking the course, or having trouble with mobility or balance, get in contact with us and we will get you back on a path to better health and better golf!

Bookings with physiotherapists Patrick Clark or Paul O’Callaghan can be made online at www.golfplusperformance.com or by calling (08) 8357 9032.
