The Grange Golf Club has a proud history in South Australian Golf and has been part of Pennant Golf since its inauguration. The Pennant Competition showcases some of South Australia’s best upcoming golfers and has been the backbone of many successful golfing careers such as Wade Ormsby, Nick Cullen and Antonio Murdaca and we are looking for your support.
The Grange Simpson Cup team were the champions in 2014 and are gunning for their 23rd title in 2020. Remarkably Grange has played off in 10 of the past 11 finals for 4 wins and 7 losses and have been a powerhouse team the past decade. The Grange Ladies A1 Pennant Team are hoping to win Grange’s ninth Sanderson Cup after finishing runner up last year and winning four titles in a row prior to that.
The Grange fields 9 Pennant teams, which is one of the most of any Club in SA and gives us over 50 players ranging in ages from 12 years to 70 years old. Games commence in May 2020 and are played over 8 weeks at all of South Australia’s best golf courses. The games attract a good crowd of spectators and particularly the final at either of the Group One Clubs. We also hold a large Pennant players and caddies presentation dinner at the conclusion of the season.
