LEGACY SA would like to thank the Grange Golf Club for their fund raising support over 16 years with the presentation of a Plaque.  Legatee John Carney and coordinators over this ongoing “journey” Mick Curry & John Grinter made the presentation on behalf of Legacy to Club Manager Barry Linke as pictured below.

 

The event conducted for the 16th time this year was another success for players, Legacy & the Club. Thanks are afforded to Barry Linke, Office, Pro Shop, Bar & Course Management staff for their support again.

 

Andy Dewar & his team looked after the raffle, which raised over $1,100, Ian Woolard & Bob Bates etc were in charge of signage & the Barbeque. Ex member Brenton Sibly was the cart man. They were all integral to the success of the day.

 

 

 

A synopsis of the day follows;

 

a.There were 128 players.

 

b.$5,500 was raised for Legacy.

 

c.As a matter of interest just over $700 was raised in the first year.

 

d.the winners were Mathew Player, Joe Summit, Nathan Hawkes & Nathan Purdie from Mossop Construction + Interiors who will represent GGC on 28th August at the Governors Legacy Golf Day @ Glenelg Golf Club.

 

e.The Adelaide Legacy Club President, Meredith Wyles attended as a guest player to speak about Legacy’s role and needs and to also acknowledge the importance of the Golf Day to Legacy & thank the Club for their ongoing support.

 

f.Major sponsors were Coopers, Coca Cola, Lion, City Mazda Hindmarsh, Blackwell Funerals &, Bunnings Mile End

 

Legacy Adelaide certainly appreciate The Grange Golf Club’s ongoing support of this event to raise required funds for the needs of Legatees under their control. They are pleased to have the Club accept the plaque to be displayed, indicating the strong relationship of the Club with Legacy.
